BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — It was Christmas on Thursday for 35 Treasure Valley charities.
They were presented checks from the Albertsons Boise Open where 100 percent of all ticket sales from the Open went to the charities.
Among those that received money was the Idaho Humane Society, Special Olympics Idaho, Camp Rainbow Gold, Boise Rescue Ministries and the Warhawk Air Museum.
For the Humane Society, it was a total surprise receiving a check for $110,000.
"We had no idea, this is just the best news ever," said Laurien Mavey with IHS. "With an amount like this we will be able to do so much for the animals in our shelter."
