Adventure Guide: Fun ways to spend your weekend in the Treasure Valley

It’s your last chance to see the musical Wicked. It's a take on the Wizard of Oz, but from a different angle, long before Dorothy ever arrives. The family-friendly play is in town through Sunday at the Morrison Center.
Speaking of the Land of Oz, you can celebrate the Wizard of Oz's 80th Anniversary Saturday in Boise. You and your family can enjoy snacks, crafts, games and activities as you take a stroll down the yellow brick road. Costumes are encouraged.
A special group of girls and women are preforming a variety of talents at this years Idaho Miss Amazing Event. You can join them Saturday to celebrate the abilities and strengths of those with disabilities on the College of Idaho campus in Caldwell.
This particular show is geared towards cat lovers. The Idaho Humane Society is putting on the IdaCats Cat Show Saturday at Expo Idaho. There will be a competition and exhibit hall to show off all the cats that you can adopt.
You can enjoy beautiful wood working displays this weekend at the JUMP Center. The Idaho Artistry in Wood Show features more than 400 works of art, a judged competition, live demonstrators, raffles, auctions and a banquet.
This Sunday is Saint Patrick's Day and you can celebrate with an Irish Stroll. Double Tap Pub is holding a two day crawl that begins on Saturday and extends straight through Sunday night. Their wristbands get you into downtown bars without a cover charge.
