The 11-year-old son of Adams County Sheriff Ryan Zollman died last week after a horse riding accident.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office says officers found Ethan Zollman breathing but unconscious with a head injury. He was later air lifted to St. Luke's in Boise where he later died March 29.

Sheriff Zollman issued this statement:

Ethan loved first God, his family and everyone he came into contact with. His heart was for serving God and others. Ethan and his 12 year old sister Hope would lead the flag pole prayer every morning before school a choice of their own. The outdoors was his home his yellow lab followed him everywhere we went. If he wasn't with family hunting, fishing, or doing farm work, he was riding his motorcycle. He will be missed more than anyone can ever imagine."
