Comings & Goings: Canyon County land up for auction, new preschools opening
In today's Comings and Goings the question is, what's coming to a huge tract of vacant land in Canyon County?
Our partners at the Idaho Press are reporting the 80-acre property, once proposed to be the future home of the Canyon County fair, is going up for auction.
County leaders are selling the former agriplex property at prescott lane and highway 20/26.
The newspaper reports they're hoping for at least $1.6 million dollars.
The Press is reporting the property is split into two, 40-acre parcels and will first be auctioned off separately.
The public auction is set one week from today on August 14.
In Boise, the city's first New Zealand-themed restaurant is opening.
Called Kiwi Shake and Bake, look for it in the Afton apartments at 611 south 8th Street.
The bakery and cafe will feature kiwi-themed foods, along with alcohol-based beverages.

Nobel Learning Communities is opening a preschool in Meridian next year.
It will be on North Linder Road, south of Chinden.
Registration will begin next January.
There are two other Nobel Learning Communities already operating, the Montessori Academy in Eagle and Parkcenter Montessori in Boise.
