47 students from Meridian Medical Arts Charter travelled to Nashville, Tennessee this summer to compete in HOSA - Future Health Professional International Leadership Conference.

HOSA is a week-long competitive events program designed to provide a system for recognizing competencies developed by members through Health Science and Biomedical Science class instruction, related job training, and HOSA related activities.

This competition is designed to motivate HOSA members to improve both their knowledge and skills,

The conference boasts over ten thousand attendees from all over the world - competing in over 50 health-science related events.

These competitive events are focused on leadership, professional and technical skills as well as education seminars, workshops and exhibits.

For Meridian Medical Arts Charter, 13 students placed in the top 10, with Karen Dixon taking first in extemporaneous writing!

MMACHS 2022 ILC Top Ten Finishers:

10th Place – Parliamentary Procedure – Alexis Conway, Ashlynn Heath, Kaylee McCulloch, Ethan Skinner, Anna Swanke, Amelia Ware

7th Place – Parliamentary Procedure – Evan Bauer, Alexis Black, Hannah Cathrae, Emily Daniell, Quynh Tran.

6th Place – Sports Medicine – Bella Lantz

1st Place – Extemporaneous Writing – Karen Dixon
