#WishesinFlight is back! Help send Idaho Make-A-Wish kids on their dream trips

BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — It's a big week at CBS 2 as we partner with Make-A-Wish Idaho to help grant wishes for Idaho children battling life-threatening medical conditions.

There are about 150 Idaho children diagnosed each year with life-threatening medical conditions. Our Wishes in Flight telethon is an annual event that helps raise money to send those children and their families on a dream trip of a lifetime!

This program is extremely important, as more than 90 percent of all Idaho wishes are travel-related. Last year, Make-A-Wish Idaho flew 86 families to different destinations, and KBOI 2News wants to help make that happen again.

Volunteers will be taking phone calls all day on Wednesday, March 6 until 10:30 p.m.

Phone number: 208-472-2220

When calling to donate, please have this information handy:

Which airline your miles will be donated from

Your mileage account number

The name on the account

The number of miles you'd like to donate

Each ticket costs about 50,000 miles, meaning if Make-A-Wish wants to send a family of five on a trip, that adds up to 250,000 miles. Every little bit helps!

Our goal here at CBS 2 is to raise 2 million airline miles for Make-A-Wish Idaho, a goal we reached in 2018. Let's do it again, and help make the wishes of Idaho children come true!
