Enjoy the warm weather and sunshine today and tomorrow, because changes swing in quickly after that! Highs today and tomorrow will be in the low 70's (thanks to an area of high pressure that's been camped out in our neighborhood). It will be mostly sunny today and for part of tomorrow before more clouds start streaming in late in the day.
Showers should hold off until (at the earliest) very late Thursday night. The best window for rain right now looks to be Friday morning, lining up with the cold front that's preparing to slide through. That front will bring a breeze with it, and drop temperatures 15-20° from Thursday's highs. Friday, temperatures will struggle to get into the mid 50's. Plan for on-and-off showers on Friday to be safe, with a brief break in precipitation coming Saturday morning.
Overall, we're looking at partly to mostly cloudy skies on Saturday with highs stuck in the mid 50's, but I'm watching as some computer models now want to send one more round of showers through southwestern Idaho before shutting off the faucet. Those showers could hit during the BSU game, so stay tuned Bronco fans (but still get out there and support). By Sunday, drier air moves in, and we'll see temperatures back in the low to mid 60's next week with mostly sunny skies.
