Spotty showers followed by a warm weekend
The weather pattern we’re seeing across Idaho right now is, shall we say, lacking dynamics. That means we’ll see occasional clouds, occasional sunshine along with occasional showers. This is the way it’s going to be through the middle of the week. By Friday, a change will come our way that will give you a touch of Spring Fever.
High pressure is expected to build into the state by the end of the week and it will stick around through the weekend. That means we’ll see lots of sunshine Friday, followed by sunny to partly cloudy skies on Saturday and Sunday. But get this, the temperatures could reach 70 degrees this weekend! The high pressure will push the storm track into Canada and that’s why the temperatures are going to be so mild. The average high for this time of the year is 62 degrees. So if we can push 70, that’s going to feel great.
The long range models are keeping any real cold air out of the Treasure Valley for the next couple of weeks. We’ll see an occasional shower, but, in between showers the temperatures should easily warm to normal or above normal reading. Not a bad way to have April wind down.
