Rachel joined the KBOI 2News team in July 2015 as the morning newscast producer. One year later, she began producing KBOI 2News at 5:30. She was promoted to Executive Producer in August of 2017.
Rachel grew up in the Mountains of Wyoming, on the doorstep of Yellowstone National Park. A debate team scholarship brought her to Arkansas State University, where she earned a degree in Radio-TV in 2015. During her time as a Red Wolf, she spent time anchoring, reporting and producing newscasts for ASU-TV News. She also worked as an editor and reporter for the student-run newspaper, The Herald.
She previously earned an associate’s degree in Communications-Multimedia at Casper College in 2013. While in college, she won several national awards while competing in Speech and Debate. She also competed on the international level in Italy, Belgium and France.
Rachel is glad to be “closer” to family while making the Treasure Valley her home. When she’s not at work, she can usually be found on long walks around the streets of Boise or hiking trails in the foothills.
