Steelheads lock up their leader, Ralph extended through 2016-17

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Brad Ralph isn't going anywhere. That's great news for Steelhead fans, and the quality if hockey in the Treasure Valley.

Idaho locked up their leader through the 2016-17 season, and Ralph couldn't be more excited to stick around.

"My family enjoys living in Boise, this is a great organization to coach for, the Idaho Steelheads. You know, I'm looking forward to the next three years. Home is where you make it, and certainly we've enjoyed our time here. I think that's a big reason why I want to sign that long-term extension so we could grow some roots here," said Ralph.

Same coach next year, but there will be at least one big change. CenturyLink Arena will add four new video screens at center ice. The Steelheads expect the new scoreboard to be in place by their season opener in October.
