Hawks still searching for first road win, lose to Spokane
SPOKANE, Wash. - Jose Trevino went 3-for-4 with a go-ahead home run in the fifth inning, helping the Spokane Indians to a 6-2 victory over the Boise Hawks.
The win helped the Indians improve to 6-0 at home this season, while the Hawks lost for the fifth straight time.
Trevino broke a 2-2 tie in the fifth, roping a Ryan McNeil offering over the left field wall for his first professional homer. Spokane got back-to-back two-out RBI singles from Luke Tendler and Marcus Greene in the seventh to put the game away.
Four Spokane pitchers combined to limit the Hawks to just five hits - including a run-scoring triple off the bat of Rashad Crawford in the second that tied the game at 2-2.
Game 3 of the series is tomorrow night at 7:35 p.m. as Trevor Graham meets Nick Gardewine.
