Hawks start season 2-0 for first time since 2005

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Boise scored runs in half of the innings they took to bat in a 10-5 over Tri-City on Saturday night.

For the second straight night, Cubs first round pick Kyle Schwarber collected three hits. The catcher went 3/5 with three RBI and one run scored. Jeffery Baez added two RBI and three runs.

Starting pitcher Erick Leal improves to 1-0 on the season in five innings of work. He gave up three hits and zero earned runs while striking out four.

The Hawks are now 2-0 and host Tri-City again on Sunday at 7:15 p.m. The Dust Devils fall to 2-0.
