Goalie Robinson named Steelheads MVP, playoff tickets on sale

The Idaho Steelheads named goalie Josh Robinson the team MVP this season. Robinson was given the award Saturday before the final home game, a 5-0 loss to Ontario.

Saturday's home finale aside, Robinson has been terrific between the pipes for Idaho this season, posting a 27-8-4 record and 92.5 save percentage. Those numbers are each second-best in the ECHL.

Idaho will be the #3 seed in the ECHL's Western Conference playoffs. The Steelheads will face the yet-to-be-determined #6 seed. Colorado and Las Vegas are the two most likely opponents, while Utah is less likely but still in the mix to finish in the sixth playoff spot.

The first two games of the first-round playoff series will be in Boise April 3 and 4. Games six and seven would also be in Boise if necessary to decide the best-of-seven series.
