Boise Hawks show off their new look

MERIDIAN, Idaho (KBOI) - It's opening day for Major League Baseball, and the Boise Hawks celebrated with the unveiling of their new-look uniforms.

It's been nearly seven season since the Hawks decided to shake things up, and this around they're doing some pretty unique things.

Charcoal gray uniforms with metallic threads that will shine under the Hawks Stadium lights, and then there's the claw marks.

"Tried to get a little edgy and went with a scratch mark, cuz it's a hawk with it's talon clawing and you'll see it as the piping on pants, you'll see it on one of the sleeves of jerseys and we'll also have it on the hat, it'll go right across the top of the hat and really going to put boise on the map," said Mike Safford Voice of the Hawks.

Hawks fans still have to wait a bit to see the new uniforms in action. The season doesn't start until mid June on the road in Eugene, with their home opener following on June 17.
