Scottish Highland Games throw, grunt, toss its way into Mountain Home

Scottish Highland Games took place in Mountain Home.

Mountain Home was home for some European athletes this weekend.

The city played host to a World Lightweight Scottish Highland Games competition.

"I get a real feeling of being in Scotland. This is how it is in the village and small towns with highland games," said Francis Brebner, a seven-time world champion.

Thirteen athletes from around the world competed in the main games but there were classifications to include everything from juniors to athletes over 40 years old.

"We had just under 100 athletes which is colossal because that's what you get at many established games that have been going for 30-40 years," Brebner said.

This was the third year Mountain Home hosted this event.
