Pepper-sprayed Ore. woman dumps gallons of milk over head in parking lot
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - Employees and patrons watched as a screaming woman poured gallons of milk on her head in the parking lot of a Walmart, prompting a call to police that landed a 36-year-old man in jail, Springfield Police said.
Officers arrested the man and booked him into the Lane County Jail early Sunday morning for investigation of assault, use of mace, felon in possession of a weapon and criminal trespass.
Lt. Scott McKee said the man was involved in a dispute with the woman, who was a fellow resident of a campsite near the Walmart store.
At some point in the dispute, the man used pepper spray on the woman, McKee said.
That's when the woman ran to Walmart and bought two gallons of milk, which she poured all over her face to ease the pain, McKee said. A customer who saw the woman in pain also bought two gallons of milk and poured it on her face.
That's when store staff and patrons called police, McKee said.
