Boise State, University of Virginia agree to two-game series

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Looking for an excuse to travel to the East Coast?

On Monday, Boise State University announced that its football program have agreed to a home-and-home series with the University of Virginia beginning in 2015.

The Broncos will travel to Charlottesville, Va., Sept. 26, 2015, with the Cavaliers making the trip to Bronco Stadium two years later in 2017. Both schools will exchange a guarantee of $200,000.

This will mark the first time Boise State and Virginia have met on the football field, and just the third time the Broncos have played a team from the Atlantic Coast Conference.

"I think our fans will be extremely excited about the Broncos hosting an ACC school," Boise State Director of Athletics Mark Coyle stated. "We continue to work hard on scheduling home-and-home games against BCS opponents and a series like this with an east coast team will help spread the Bronco brand."
