Boise Generals win RMFL AA Championship

The semi-pro Boise Generals beat the Great Falls Gladiators 34-12 to win the Rocky Mountain Football League AA Championship Saturday at Eagle High School.

Quarterback B.J. Rhode passed for five touchdowns, three to T.J. Acree who was named the game's most valuable player.

Prior to the game, Rhode was named season MVP. Including Saturday's championship, Rhode passed for over 2,500 yards and 38 touchdowns this season.

Generals wide receiver and general manager Jerry Smith was named RMFL Offensive MVP. He caught the other two touchdowns in the championship game.

Great Falls did not score in the second half.

The Generals - in their second season - are the first champions from southwest Idaho in the 17-year history of the Rocky Mountain Football League.
