Yote volleyball ranks 6 in preseason poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The College of Idaho equaled their highest national ranking in program history, as the Lady Yotes were ranked No. 6 in the Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball Coaches' Preseason Top-25 Poll, released this afternoon by the NAIA sports information office.

The Yotes, coming off their seventh-straight Cascade Conference regular-season title, received 501 voter points from the 22 conference and unaffiliated grouping raters. It marks the seventh time that the team has been ranked No. 6 - including the start of the 2007 season.

The C of I opens the season on Thursday at the Holiday Inn Summer Slam Tournament in La Mirada, Calif. - meeting No. 4 Biola, No. 9 The Masters, and No. 16 Westmont in the two-day event.
