The comeback continues, Coyotes host first spring game since '77

Caldwell, Idaho (KBOI) - The College of Idaho utilized four different quarterbacks in the school's first spring football game since 1977.

Junior quarterback Teejay Gordon, who transferred to the College of Idaho from Modesto Junior College, led the Yotes threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Marcus Lenhardt on the opening drive of the game. Gordon finished the day 10-of-19 for 80 yards through the air, adding 35 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

The spring game's rushing leader was Zach Garzoli, who carried the ball eight times for 57 yards. The Yotes were led through the air by Charlie Shepherd who made four catches for 83 yards.

Caldwell native, and Junior college transfer, Andy Forse caught a pair of touchdowns, and finished with three catches for 75 yards.

Hunter Temple and Grant Darrington both shined defensively for the Yotes, sharing the team high with seven tackles a piece. Temple came away with the only interception of the day.
