Pair of Pac-12 Champions ready for NCAA Championships

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Pac-12 Champions J.T. Felix and Jake Swartz hit the mats at the NCAA Wrestling Championships Thursday in Oklahoma City, OK.

Both Broncos have experience wrestling on the sports largest stage, and that's great news. Because, as Felix explains, there's no way to fake it once you're there.

"It's past experiences, I don't think there's a way to prepare for it. I mean, you can think that to yourself when you're in here, or in front of a thousand fans, 'oh it's the same thing' but it's not."

When you're stepping out on the mat I mean there's other matches going on around you, but you look around and there's a lot of people. It's bright, it's hard to focus, you start getting nervous so I think that the prior matches at the NCAA Tournament are huge," said Felix.

ESPNU starts the championship coverage Thursday morning at 10 AM (MT), and follows up with second round coverage starting at 5:30 PM (MT).
