Idaho State has issues in first scrimmage

POCATELLO, Idaho (KBOI) - Bengal football has their first scrimmage under their belt, and although we weren't allowed to shoot it, we know there are plenty of things to work on in Pocatello.

Head Coach Mike Kramer leads the way with a few suggestions, "Our pass protection sagged a little bit, we allowed too much penetration. The entire day was spent in the red zone, and in the red zone we cannot give up sacks, and allow that much penetration. So it's something we have to take a look at."

"Definitely execution. You know, sometimes I just didn't hook up, I had a few bad throws, and few bad reads. Receiver-wise, we just didn't click, but we'll get better," said junior quarterback Justin Arias.

The Idaho State Bengals open their season on September 7, against Dixie State. Kickoff at Holt Arena is scheduled for 3:05 pm (MTN).
