College of Idaho upsets No. 2 Southern Oregon

CALDWELL, Idaho - Five College of Idaho players scored in double figures as the Coyotes upset second-ranked Southern Oregon, 95-83, inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

The victory over the Raiders (13-2, 3-1 CCC) was the highest-ranked opponent C of I has ever defeating in Caldwell and the second time in program history that the Yotes have toppled the No. 2 team in the NAIA.

Ben Van Lith scored seven of his 16 points in the Coyotes (12-4, 3-1) 13-2 run midway through the first half to erase a 28-27 deficit and never trailed again.

After SOU cut the lead to 60-51 five minutes into the second half, C of I responded with a 10-2 run to take their largest lead of the night at 70-53 and cruised to the victory.
