Another QB compeition for the Vandals

MOSCOW, Idaho (KBOI) - Remember last season when the Vandal football team started fall camp in the middle of a quarterback competition? Some of the names may have changed, but it's more of the same this season.

Head coach Paul Petrino has tabbed freshman quarterback Chad Chalich as the man to beat, but an "official" starter remains up in the air.

"We have a competition, we have to do better than the other quarterbacks each day. We're getting better, we're competing, and that's just gonna make us better quarterbacks in the long run. Coach wants to be an offensive team that scores a lot of touchdowns, so you know we're coming out here, getting better every day, and we're gonna have a great season," sid Chalich.

Chalich looked amazing during Idaho spring game, but has competition from Taylor Davis, who started a few games last year, and junior college transfer Joshua McCain.
