Boise State home opener scheduled for...the afternoon?

Yeah, that's right.

Boise State announced its kick off times for the Broncos first two games of the 2017 season. And the good news for many Bronco fans, the team will be play under the bright lights of the sun.

Boise State will kick off against Troy at 1:45 p.m. on ESPNU Sept. 2 ( the earliest home game on national television since the Broncos played a 1:30 p.m. game against Colorado State in 2012).

So, there will be no fighting traffic at midnight.

“We have half our kick times for 2017 home games already set, and none start later than 6 p.m.,” said Curt Apsey, Boise State director of athletics. “Game times are obviously something we have been hearing a lot about from our fans, so I am hopeful that we will see a packed stadium starting with Troy to kick off the season.”
