An arrest in the murder of a 6 year old Washington girl

BREMERTON, Wash. - Investigators have made an arrest in the murder and rape of 6 year old Jenise Wright. A 17 year old teenager was arrested at his home without incident according to authorities.

Investigators say they've linked forensic evidence to the teen. Yesterday, investigators collected voluntary DNA samples from neighbors who live in the mobile home park where the little girl's body was found. They got the DNA by performing cheek swabs. No word whether or not the DNA collection has anything to do with the arrest.

The 17 year old suspect is expected to be charged with 2nd degree murder, man slaughter and rape.
