Woman on mobility scooter killed after getting struck by vehicle

CALDWELL, Idaho (KBOI) -- A 48-year-old woman in a battery operated mobility scooter died after getting struck by a vehicle in Caldwell Friday.

Idaho State Police says an 18-year-old Nampa man was driving west late Friday night on Cleveland Boulevard near Linden when Brenda Sisco of Caldwell attempted to cross the street and went in front of the driver's vehicle.

The 18-year-old hit Sisco and then struck a telephone pole. The woman died at the scene of the crash.

The driver was not injured in the incident. The crash remains under investigation.
