Two to five inches of snow by noon Tuesday? Storm on its way

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - A winter weather advisory has been issued for the Treasure Valley as a storm is set to move in across the region beginning later Monday.

Although it's snowing in the valley now, little accumulation is expected. A stronger disturbance is expected to move in overnight bringing some areas of the valley up to five inches of snow.

The mountains, including McCall and Idaho City, could easily see a foot of snow or more. Mountain locations are under a winter storm warning. The winter weather advisory for the valley begins at 5 p.m. | Full Forecast

"This amazing winter for snow continues," Vin Crosby, KBOI 2News meteorologist said on his Facebook page.

Because the brunt of the snow is expected overnight, Tuesday morning's commute has the potential to be tricky so stay tuned to and don't forget to watch Vin's forecast beginning at 4 p.m.
