Two men arrested on drug charges

CALDWELL - Police officers responded to a residence in the 1200 block of E. Elgin street on Thursday morning to help paramedics with a medical call. After completing the call, police said an officer noticed a vehicle nearby that belonged to Roberto Solorio, a felony probationer and fugitive. Officers contacted Solorio at the residence near his vehicle and arrested him without incident for his warrant.

After the arrest, officers said they found more than $6,000 cash in Solario's pocket along with a stun gun. Officers searched Solorio's vehicle and said they also found meth, digital scales and drug packaging materials.

Solorio was booked into the Canyon County Jail on his arrest warrant, a felony probation violation, delivery of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking methamphetamine. Additional charges may follow, according to police.

While arresting Solorio, officers also contacted Mario Jimenez-Rubio who lives at the residence where Solorio was staying. Jimenez-Rubio was found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to officers. He was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also booked into the Canyon County Jail.
