Thousands in dark after power goes out on windy morning

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- Thousands of people in the Treasure Valley woke up without electricity after a windy Monday morning.

Idaho Power reported several outages in the area -- the most significant in the Caldwel and Wilder area where up to 2,000 customers were without power.

Power outages were also reported in Boise's North End, Nampa, Star and Middleton and about 600 customers were in the dark in Meridian and Kuna near Columbia, Meridian and Locus Grove areas.
