Third Annual Chrome at the Home to help veterans

BOISE, Idaho - This month, you will have the chance to help enhance our veterans quality of life.

The third annual Chrome at the Home is Saturday, September 22nd.

You're invited to enjoy a motorcycle shine-n-show before the riders take off later in the afternoon.

Funds raised will be used to refurbish veterans' recliners and a bus they use to get around town.

Organizers want veterans to know they aren't forgotten.

"I'm a veteran myself, and for the veterans that live in this house, it's a way not to forget what they've given," said Thomas Myers, of the Boise Valley POW-MIA. "They've signed on the dotted line to give their lives, if need be, to provide the freedoms we have. It's a way to give back."

The Chrome at the Home is being held at the Idaho State Veterans Home on 321 Collins.

See the motorcycle show at 9 am, the opening ceremony at 11 am, a free barbecue at noon, and the ride at 2 pm.
