Speedy driver leads police to thousands of dollars in weed: OSP

BAKER CITY, Ore. (KBOI) - A Caldwell man was busted Thursday night for having four pounds of weed, Oregon State Police says.

Police say they stopped Shawn Merrell for speeding near Baker City.

After pulling him over, they searched his car and found about four pounds of marijuana, hash and hash oil in the trunk. The pot has a street value of about $10,000.

Merrell has been booked in the Baker County Jail for unlawful possession and delivery of a controlled substance.
