Sheriff: Vandals suspected to be linked to Boise vandalism caught on camera

Ada County Sheriff's office is searching for two vandals who were caught on camera and are suspected to be linked to two-dozen acts of graffiti.

The video captures one of the vandals using a marker to scrawl graffiti on a street sign.

Graffiti appeared in south Boise near the Lake Hazel Road, S. Seabreeze Way, and Maple Grove Road neighborhood.

The two are suspected to be teenagers or young adults and according to police.

Police say vandals have spray-painted street signs, vehicles, and buildings including Desert Sage Elementary School since November. Although the video is from late December, several incidents have occurred since then police say.

Each act of vandalism is considered malicious injury to property, a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
