Sheriff: Gymnastics instructor had sex with teens

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - A local gymnastics instructor has been arrested after sheriff's officials say he allegedly had sex with two teenagers.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office says Derek Q. Nesbitt, 22, was arrested Friday afternoon.

Officials say they began investigating Nesbitt after receiving reports that he allegedly gave alcohol to minors at his home on the 2200 Block of North Bluewater Place.

The investigation revealed the gymnastics instructor had sexual contact with at least two females between the ages of 16 and 17, deputies say.

Detectives say Nesbitt met the teenagers while assisting the Borah High School cheerleading squad and through his work as an instructor and coach at a Meridian gymnastics facility.
