Season of Wishes: Stacia

BOISE, Idaho- The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho grants 90 wishes every year for children battling life threatening illnesses.

Stacia Mers was diagnosed with a brain tumor a couple of years ago. As Tami Tremblay found out this wish kid has since made a full recovery.

She went to Disney World for a big adventure with her parents and brother thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and not too long after she finished up her chemotherapy treatments.

Stacia kept a journal and liked to draw pictures while she was sick and a family friend offered to help her create a book. She decided to do it to help others.

"If they have cancer I don't want them to be scared and not know what they're going to expect," said Stacia.

The book is called "The Girl Who Had A Big Adventure."

You can find Stacia's book by heading to and just type in her name.
