SBAC discuses new testing on the way for students

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Smarter Balanced Advisory Committee met in Boise Thursday to discuss the new test being adopted with Common Core. The group is preparing for practice tests this Spring.

The committee is made up of educators from around the state. Many received answers to questions about how the test will be implemented, and what time frame students will be able to take it in.

Idaho Superintendent Tom Luna said the test being given this Spring will be taken by all 3rd-8th graders and most 9th and 10th graders.

This will allow them to analyze what questions work compared to the curriculum. Luna said it will also make sure they get any issues out of the way before the test begin to count in Spring of 2015.
