Report: Driver in crash that killed two teens was high, drunk

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) The driver of a vehicle that killed two 18-year-olds earlier this year was high and drunk according to crash report released by the Idaho Transportation Department.

The report says the driver of the vehicle, 18-year-old Cody Olson, was racing the brother of one of his passengers when the car exited at Curtis Road between 80-100 mph and hit a retaining wall.

One of the passengers, 18-year-old Scott Hyde of Meridian died instantly while Kelsey Belcher died about a week later. Olson, Jasmine Ondrick and Nick Hendrickson were badly injured.

The report says Olson was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana. His blood alcohol content was listed as .071.

Prosecutors have not filed any charges.
