Boise PD: Armed robbery on Fairview Ave connected to four previous robberies

An armed robbery was reported Wednesday afternoon, and police say the suspect is connected to a string of robberies in the area.

Ada County dispatch says it was on the 10000 block of Fairview Avenue near north Five Mile Road just after 4 p.m.

Boise Police say the suspect's description matched up with previous robberies around the Treasure Valley. He has not been caught yet.

Officers say the suspect is a black man in his late teens or early 20's. He has been wearing all black clothing with a black hooded sweatshirt.

BPD says they are connecting this man with other robberies in Boise and one in Nampa. The robberies began on the Boise Bench, where he reportedly robbed two places within 10 minutes of each other.

They are working with Nampa Police on the case.

"We are investigating a fifth armed robbery with the same suspect description," Boise Police said. "We are asking anyone who recognizes the man in these surveillance pictures to please call police before this person is able to commit another dangerous crime."
