Police: Boise Music Festival safety plan was 'great success'

GARDEN CITY, Idaho (KBOI) - Garden City Police says this year's Boise Music Festival Traffic Safety Plan was a "great success."

Police say there were five minor crashes throughout the day Saturday, which is far fewer than the number of crashes that happened last year. Police say none of the collisions involved pedestrians.

Sgt. Blair Brannan said Garden City Police made no arrests at the event.

Instead, it seems the biggest issue was Jaywalking.

"We continue to struggle with violators crossing both Chinden Boulevard and Glenwood Streets," Brannan said. "This year we installed several temporary signs and increased patrols throughout the event.."
