WEST SALEM, Ore. - Police have arrested a 30-year-old West Salem High School basketball coach, accusing him of having sex with an underage student, the Salem Police Department said Tuesday.

Police said Emrance Berger had sex with a girl who is under 16 years old.

They said he has been the assistant varsity coach and the head junior varsity coach at the school.

Police said they are concerned there may be more victims because of Berger's access to children.

He is being taken to the Polk County Jail and faces charges of third-degree sodomy and second-degree sex abuse by a coach, according to police.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to call Detective Jeff Staples at (503)540-2351.
