One year later, Oneida County triple homicide still unsolved

POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) - The triple homicide that occurred a year ago this month in southern Idaho's Oneida County remains unsolved.

Three people were found dead in a remote farmhouse near the tiny community of Holbrook on April 5, 2013.

The bodies of 62-year-old Brent L. Christensen, his 32-year-old son Trent Jon Christensen and Trent's 27-year-old girlfriend, Yavette Carter, were found in the home of the Christensen ranch about 25 miles west of Malad City.

Oneida County Sheriff Jeff Semrad tells the Idaho State Journal that about 10,000 man-hours have gone into the investigation this past year.

Semrad says not a day goes by when investigators are not working on the case.

The sheriff says there are suspects with connections to major gang activities in California but no arrests have been made.
