Neighborhood continues hood-gating tradition for BSU football

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - One Boise neighborhood is excited for the start of BSU football season, especially because they finally get to start their yearly tradition of hood-gating. It's like tailgating, but it takes up their entire street.

For over a decade this neighborhood near Capitol High School has gotten together for every BSU away game.

"We have people from Florida here today, Canada, and all over," said neighbor Mark Anderson.

Neighbors set up more than seven TV's in their front yards and watch the Broncos wherever they play. Even those who are newer to the neighborhood, like Shannon Cade said they've seen nothing like it.

"As far as neighborhood parties go it's nothing like we put on here," said Cade. "Just being apart of it and seeing us all come together is just a lot of fun."
