Nampa woman accused of embezzling $97K from law firm
NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) —
A Nampa woman has been charged with felony grand theft after prosecutors say she embezzled nearly $100,000 from her former employer.
The Ada County Prosecutor's Office says Launa Coates, 47, has been indicted on six felony grand theft charges for embezzling $97,000 from Dena Moore Law where she was a paralegal and bookkeeper between 2012-2017.
Coats is out on bond and is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 16.
The maximum sentence for each grand theft charge is 14 years in prison.
