The Idaho woman reported missing on Friday has been found safe.

Oregon State Police say 52-year-old Ruby Pike of Star, Idaho was reported missing by her husband Friday night. She was supposed to be travelling from the Pendleton area to Boise.

She had been traveling in a white Toyota Tundra with a canopy and Idaho plates. Pike told a family member she was taking a scenic route.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office along with Oregon State Police began a search and rescue Saturday.

OSP says Pike’s cell phone had been pinged shortly after 4 p.m. the day before. The ping put her location about ten miles south of Ukiah, Oregon.

Shortly before 8 p.m. deputies from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office located Pike’s vehicle on Forest Road 52 near mile post 35 stuck in the snow. Pike was found inside of the vehicle in good health.

Deputies took Pike to Ukiah where she was checked by ambulance staff and reunited with her family.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind the public that a lot of these rural routes are not maintained in the winter time and are impassable.
