Minor injuries in crash on Highway 16

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Emergency crews have cleared the scene of a crash on Highway 16 Friday afternoon.

Ada County Dispatch says the crash happened at the intersection of Highway 16, also called the Emmett Highway, and Floating Feather Road.

Ada County Sheriff's Office said a car was traveling west on Floating Feather when they were struck by a car heading south on Highway 16. There is a stop sign on Floating Feather to cross the highway.

According to Sergeant Patrick Schneider, nobody was taken to the hospital, and only minor injuries were reported.

A single driver was in the car heading south on Highway 16 and a family of three, a couple and their young child, were in the car heading west on Floating Feather.

The speed limit on Highway 16 is 55 mph, down from 65 mph.

It was originally reported to dispatch as a head-on crash.
