Meridian PD: Shoplifter arrested for pulling knife on store employee
MERIDIAN, Idaho (KBOI) —
A shoplifter is accused of pulling a knife on a store employee at a Meridian area store.
Meridian Police says officers were called out to the Kohl's at Ustick and Eagle Road for the aggravated assault call at about 11:50 a.m. Police say the suspect took off in his vehicle and at some point injured himself while jumping into a dumpster.
He was later found on the 3500 block of Eagle Road in front of a restaurant.
Police have charged Aaron Mortiz, 26, on aggravated assault and burglary charges as well as Kimberly Hale, 39, of Meridian, who authorities say was the getaway driver. A third person, Ryan Morgan, 28 of Boise, was arrested for petty theft.
