Man who survived crash with logging truck released from hospital
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- A Meridian man seriously injured in last week's 44-vehicle pileup on Interstate 84 has been released from the hospital.
Jose Silva, 52, was found trapped in the crushed wreckage of his Subaru after it was dragged nearly 200 feet down the road after colliding with a logging truck.
The vehicle was found crumpled like an accordion when it was all said and done.
His family last week told KBOI 2News that it was only by God's will that he managed to survive. He suffered several broken bones, and had surgery on Friday.
"He just realizes that he is a miracle, and he knows that it was a big deal," the family said.
