Man who caused school lock-down investigated for murder

CALDWELL, Idaho- KBOI 2News has learned the man who caused several schools to lock-down in Caldwell Friday is a person of interest in a Colorado murder.

Surveillance video shows Warren Watson using Claudia Miller's credit card shorty after her body was found by a cleaning crew in her Lakewood, Colorado office building.

Investigators working the case will travel to the Canyon County Jail to talk with him about the murder.

Caldwell police arrested Watson after a chase in the Dorchester area that caused five schools to lock-down during the search as a safety measure.

Watson was wanted on a fugitive escape warrant out of Colorado unrelated to the murder investigation. However, he was considered to be armed and dangerous.

Watson has a criminal history spanning at least two decades. He served time in prison for burglary, forgery, theft and escape.
