Man pulled from New York Canal in Boise

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - The Boise Fire Department says they pulled a man from the New York Canal near Vista Avenue Monday afternoon.

Firefighters say the man was first spotted in the water near Federal Way and by the time crews were able to reach him he had drifted all the way to Vista.

Crews say the man was submerged when they got to him and they immediately began CPR.

Firefighters say the man was taken to a local hospital and his condition is unknown.

At this point, it is still unclear how the man ended up in the canal.
