Lighting sparks grass fire in Garden City

GARDEN CITY, Idaho (KBOI) - Lightning caused a small grass fire in Garden City early Wednesday morning.

Firefighters were called in around 1:30 a.m. to Old Horseshoe Bend Road and Dry Creek Road.

Officials say lightning sparked two acres grass fire in the area. It took firefighters about two hours to get the flames under control. Fire crews stayed on scene Wednesday morning after the flames were extinguished to monitor hot spots.
